David Thibodeaux is an accomplished commercial real estate professional and manager with over 25 years of experience. Mr. Thibodeaux joined Newmark Knight Frank (NKF) in 2017 as Senior Director of Valuation & Advisory Services in charge of the Central Texas Region. The region includes Austin, Waco, San Antonio, El Paso and tertiary areas throughout Central and West Texas. Mr. Thibodeaux has performed consulting, review and appraisal services on most significant commercial real estate transactions and development projects in the Central Texas Region. Additionally he has provided expert witness testimony in US Bankruptcy Court, US District Court, various County District Courts and in various County Property Tax Appraisal disputes. His experience ranges across property types and has acted to establish his reputation as a prominent player in the Central Texas Region.From 1997 to 2017 Mr. Thibodeaux worked at CBRE, Inc.. During his time at CBRE David served as Director of the Financial Consulting Group, Managing Director of Valuation and Advisory Services and First Vice President in charge of the Investment Properties team. Prior to his career at CBRE, Mr. Thibodeaux spent three years with National Facilities Corporation as an Acquisition Analyst and served in positions as a commercial real estate analyst with Lee Burns and Company and The Harris County Appraisal District.

Mr. Thibodeaux started his career with CBRE in 1997 as a member of the Financial Consulting Group (FCG), eventually becoming the director where he managed assignments for CMBS portfolio acquisitions ranging in size from 30-200 assets. Additionally he consulted with brokers, financial institutions and corporate clients on lease and sale negotiations and assisted on pricing determinations on various commercial property assets. In 2000, CBRE combined FCG with the appraisal division to form the Valuation and Advisory Services Group (VAS). Mr. Thibodeaux moved to Austin, Texas, to establish the VAS office and was promoted to Managing Director.Mr. Thibodeaux accepted a position to lead CBRE's Investment Properties team in 2016 before leaving CBRE in 2017 to accept a position with Newmark Knight Frank as Senior Director. Prior to CBRE, Mr. Thibodeaux was an Acquisition Analyst for National Facilities Corporation where he negotiated sale, lease and financing contracts on various commercial assets. He has a BBA in Finance from Lamar University.
