Projects & Responsibilities:Worked as a technical support (level 3) engineer providing global support to partners and external customers for SIP-based VOIP solutions. This included support to customers through partners and direct service contracts back into our support team both internal and outsourced. Provided support for a VOIP rollout to be used within Nortel. Through four major releases, performed initial onsite deployment as the prime for assigned beta trial sites and continued support for the duration of the trial period. Infrastructure supported in this role: Sun v100, Sun v240, Audiocodes PRI-SIP gateway, BPS2000, Motorola SAM 16, and IBM Blade Center/X336/x306 using Windows 2000/2003 Server and Red Hat Linux. Regularly performed manager duties when current manager was out of office.

Promoted Responsibilities:Managed day to day activities of a product support team responsible for sixteen data and telecommunications products. Oversaw the delivery of quality customer support to a global client base utilizing a wide range of TDM and packetized voice and data products. Insured the efficient delivery of state of the art products and services through a highly developed set of processes, procedures, and skill sets. Supervised the efforts of multiple support groups which included a staff of 15 local support engineers and approximately 20 outsourced support engineers.

Work as a pre-sales technical resource to drive top line revenue and profitability by providing efficient and credible technical engineering support to the sales teams (both internal and external). These activities are centered on our data, voice, and converged portfolios. Help to better educate the customer, the sales team, and the business partners on Nortel products and solutions by holding workshops, brown bag sessions, or other communications. Provide backup support in the major named accounts in the Houston market by focusing on giving customers sound business and technical advice in data, voice, and converged technologies. Perform some post-sales duties such as troubleshooting on-site or lab related issues, gathering logs for support, and follow-up on existing open issues being worked by our support teams to help expedite resolution and maintain and/or increase customer satisfaction. Act as the backup lab manager for the Houston/South Texas lab equipment. Help organize and create independent lab travel kits for the South Texas branch area.

Projects & Responsibilities:ExxonMobil NT LAN administration team lead. Perform day to day tasks such as user account creation and deletion, creating groups, establishing trusts, creating shares and managing share-level and NTFS permissions in an Enterprise environment of a 50k plus user base. Represented Exxon Mobil in teaching three classes, twenty students each, my everyday duties and Windows NT fundamentals. ENRON Corp Y2K inventory and assessment of various mechanical equipment for initial phase of readiness. Our team determined, through research, if the equipment was Y2K ready and contacted vendor if equipment was in question.Dynegy Team Lead for the data and mail migration team executing a common computing environment rollout, which migrated over 2000 users from Windows 3.1 and Windows 95 to Windows NT. Designed and documented procedures to migrate user's data to CD. Documented procedures to migrate user's mail from MS Mail and Exchange to Lotus Notes using Binary Tree. Designed and implemented a flat NT/Novell network for a training facility, which trained over 2000 users (30 users per class).Natural Gas Clearinghouse Built Novell server for testing and data population of new data storage device (EMC)A.N. Rusche Dist. Co. Technical lead on a Microsoft NT rollout from Windows 3.1. Duties included: assisting in getting users accustomed to new NT environment, helping with Outlook setup, IE4 installation, and helping user navigate around in NT. Methodist Hospital Support and maintenance of a Microsoft NT environment. Duties included: everyday desk side support, changing backup tapes and monitoring jobs in ArcSever, modifying access to data shares for users.

Promoted Responsibilities: Administration and support of computers in a stand-alone, peer-to-peer, and client/server environments. Design and implementation of new software and hardware. Participated in migration from Windows 3.1 to Windows95 platform in a 300-user environment. Adding/deleting and changing user accounts on network. Administering daily and weekly backups of all servers (Novell, NT).

Support and maintenance of computers in a stand-alone and network environment, design and implementation of new software and hardware, support for satellite locations with remote access and WAN access; design, consultation and supervision of topology for construction and reconstruction in various locations.
