All phases of IT, from hardware to software development. Managed three IT staff. Was instrumental in developing Server and Database infrastructure, redundancy and security which also allowed the company to become PCI compliant after three years of failed compliance. Developed methods and procedures for programming consistency and worked with converting single script objects to classes for increased reliability and scalability while allowing multiple staff to work on a single project. Coordinated the installation of fiber and the necessary gigabit infrastructure to support it. Worked closely with vendors to find applicable hardware and software and coordinate installation.

I manage all phases of IT for a department at WSU. I start with assessing which technologies are available for use, purchasing those technologies and then training people to use them as necessary. My department was the first at WSU to upgrade to Windows 7, and after 2 years, the rest of the university is catching up at last. I manage our servers, our database servers, web server, secure FTP server, web sites, survey engine and a custom CRM system. I also write custom reports and build custom tracking systems typically using a combination of PHP, Javascript and HTML. Finally, I am also the help desk, answering everyone's questions anytime something goes wrong or they have another brilliant idea about how to do something.

Managed a team of 4 IT Specialists with report creating, timeliness and accuracy requirements. Took the team from a 70% on-time and accuracy rate to 98% on-time and accuracy.Built a custom reporting engine/application which tied in numerous external applications including Excel, Word, WinZip, WSFTP Pro and connected to multiple databases in order to accurately reflect and gather information. These included Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL and Tandem. Also introduced node-based processing to time and sequence all reporting across multiple nodes to increase departmental productivity.Transferred to Internal Software Development. Worked with MySQL, HTML, PHP, CSS and Javascript to develop software internal to the company including a report manager to allow the viewing and dissemination of reports, a licensing management system to account for all insurance licenses the customer service representatives were required to have.
