Current• OPITO approved BOISET training (including EBS) • HSE First Aid at Work training including defibrillator • Grampian Police Federation Health & Safety training with remit to inspect, report on and review implementation of recommendations regarding Police buildings. • Attended Effective manager workshops in management of people, tasks and ideas facilitated by the Urquhart Partnership in Aberdeen • Achieved competence in seminars in Crime Scene Management, Investigation of Serious Sexual Offences, Operational Management, Critical Incident Management, Civil Emergencies and dealing with the media • Completion of National Observation Team (surveillance) training, Level 2 • Elected by peers to represent them on the board of the Grampian Police Federation, dealing with matters of welfare, efficiency, misconduct, regulatory and staffing • Member of Public Support Unit with additional training in CBRN responding, Method of Entry and Protester Removal • Project manager for review of Scottish Criminal Records Office with emphasis on reviewing processes, streamlining of operations and providing observations to increase efficiency of department. • Pro-actively sought to carry out review of Fire Evacuation Plan for Cell Block Facility. This area of the business has been as identified as the highest risk to Grampian Police. Through review of the existing processes, diligent partnership working and lucid presentation of facts, new fire exits, ventilation shut down systems and refreshment areas for staff were implemented. As a result, much of the risk has been mitigated in this area of the business.
