As long as I remember I have loved the variety of cultures around the world. To date, I have traveled to 64 nations. I have had the privilege to speak to tens of thousands of people in person and millions by television. I have learned all people deserve love, respect, and dignity, and that we all bring something of value to the world.The Magdalene Project was started after a conversation with an Indian Journalist.She told me of the horrible conditions of poor girls in India, Kidnapped, stolen and sold, sometimes by family members. They often have their virginity auctioned off in a room full of men bidding. After their virginity was taken they were sold to a brothel, chained to a bed and or drugged so they wouldn't leave. Then they were violated 30 to 40 times per day by paying customers.The most disturbing part is the most 'prized' ages were 8 to 12 years old.I said to myself "I have to do something about this."So we started the Magdalene Project where we raised awareness and develop safe homes for at-risk girls and victims of the sex slave trade.We established one home in Varanasi India and have turned that over to the local leaders there. We are now pursuing the development of 10 new homes in India and South East Asia that will serve victims of the sex slave trade.

  The Magdalene Project is an initiative to help stop the global epidemic of human trafficking. In particular, our work has focused on helping girls and young women in developing nations get free from the clutches of human traffickers by developing safe homes where they can escape their captors and live. We then provide them with vocational training so they can start a new life.
