David Van Pelt Email and Phone Number
After flying the F-16 and F-35 and serving my country for 23 years, I left the Royal Netherlands Airforce 2023. It was time for a change and the ability to spend more time with my family.Currently I work as a pilot with KLM, but also as an advisor with the Royal NLR. Over my career I got to learn a great deal of things. Being a Fighter Pilot is more than what you see watching Top Gun.... It's the opposite. It's about being a Credible, Humble and Approachable leader, who understands how and when to get the mission done. Even under the most difficult circumstances, with extreme time pressure, risk and importance. And when that job is done, we get to DEBRIEF. I truly believe Debriefing is the key to the high level of success and achievement of a Fighter Squadron. Getting to sit down, identify the correct Debrief Focus Point(s), coupling the right Execution Errors with events during the Fight, evaluate your planned Gameplan versus what was executed and being able to improve as an individual and a team is key. It's why you will be more effective, lethal and successful next time around! It's why you're buddy will not make the same mistake that you made. You're humble and and you take ownership of what happened, the results and the choices you made. If you f%€k up, you fess up! There is no "yes, but", in a correct debrief. It's not about you. It's a specific attitude and mindset that allows you and your team to excel. It's the simplest, yet most powerful tool that allows a Fighter Squadron to achieve it's high level of performance. Then I asked myself... why should this ability stay within a small community? Why won't ANY team that works together in order to achieve their task get that same privilige? I've been a Weapons Instructor for 14 years, I've learned a great deal during my life, I've f%€cked up, I've fessed up. Why not Teach any team that needs to improve and learn from whatever I messed up? Teach them the Fighter Pilot way. I enjoy standing in front of a group of people and brief them, engage with them in order to teach them, the Fighter Pilot way. This is why I recently started my own company, T.I.N.T. Consultancy. I've had the privilige to brief a few companies so far, #Promi #Alliander, with a few more lined up. I want to share my experiences, provide an effective training environment and focus on a specific topic that is relevant to the team. I will sit down, develop a gameplan that is tailored to your needs and Teach, so your team will also WIN! I want to continue to teach, the Fighter Pilot way!
