Executed a discovery exercise to determine business drivers and key pain points. Carried out a gap analysis against best practice / industry standard models. Made recommendations addressing gaps and developed a roadmap for implementation covering tactical and strategic initiatives. My most recent strategy review generated £1.8M revenue in software and services follow-on business.Outsourcing organisation/UK Insurance Company: BSM SolutionWorking to extremely tight timescales, designed and deployed (as Tech Lead) a fully integrated Business Services Management (£1.6M) solution in twelve weeks, replacing a set of disparate tools that had been developed over many years. Addressing a number of challenges such as ensuring delivery whilst resolving technical issues, skilling up end users, and ensuring a smooth cut-over for the business. I led a team of five project engineers to ensure the solution was delivered on time and in budget.

Achievements:UK Defence Contractor: Network Management SolutionDesigned and deployed a full network management solution covering service assurance and network configuration and compliance management with tools from HP, IBM and Cisco (CIC, NCM). Ran workshops to determine customer requirements, carried out Proof of Concept, installation, testing and delivered the solution to maximise user take up.UK Government Agency: IP Route ManagementDesigned and deployed an IP Route Management solution based around the Packet Design Route Explorer (REX) product. Ran workshops to determine customer requirements, carried out market testing and product selection, Proof of Concept, installation, testing and embedded the solution into the support community to ensure take up and the full realisation of the business benefits.Virgin Media: NMS and Compliance/Automation SolutionDesigned and deployed one of the largest UK deployments of an HP Network Management and Compliance/Automation solution comprising HP NA, NNMi and associated SPIs. This automated Virgin Media’s provisioning process and streamlined their management capabilities, providing the driver to enable rapid growth of their business.ITSM Capacity Management: Working within the ITIL framework I defined the company's Capacity Management plan and supporting processes to enable adoption of Capacity Management across the Network Services business unit. This involved holding workshops with key stakeholders, designing low impact processes through extensive use of automation and defining the roles and responsibilities required to manage and maintain the process in the long term.

Consultancy engagements include: Designed and deployed a complex NNM global monitoring solution for a London based multinational bank. This was built upon the existing NNM implementation providing additional functionality and scalability whilst integrating smoothly with existing systems.Home Group HP Solution: Designed and deployed a full HP Network Management solution for Home group consisting of HPNNM, OVPI and Operations manager. This enabled end to end visibility, availability and performance management of the Home Group IT infrastructure from an application and serviceperspective.CAR, CNR, SCE deployment/support for Irish mobile and broadband Service Provider. Deployed complex solution of CAR, CNR and SCE to enable full subscriber management of the client's broadband data network. Provided support and TOI of all products to staff to enable smooth transition from implementation to operations.Network Management deployment: Defined network management strategy through a series of workshops to determine businessrequirements. Designed and deployed a network management solution for management of the network infrastructure. Customised solution consisting on HP NNM and CiscoWorks LMS to ensure business requirements were met and exceeded.Carried out an audit of Network Management Systems for a UK based satellite broadcaster. Cataloged hardware, software and associated operational processes. Employed best practice standards such as ITIL and TMN to determine strategy to improve management of Networks and services. Determined high level design of Network Management Architecture and made tactical and strategic recommendations to enable a phased deployment of the Best of Breed tools and applications.
