About David Walsh

I have 30+ years of expertise all directly or closely related to software product development as well as web application programming and site development. While I am a senior software engineer by varied experience I am comfortable in account management, leadership project and product management roles as well as quality assurance, training development, documentation and business development.Product/Project and Account Management: I have an background in successful commercial product development with an emphasis in test plan development. I was the product manager for LPA's automated script based commercial product for the semiconductor industry which won the 1996 Semiconductor International “Product of the Year” award. At CCS I was the account manager for the next generation product testing platform that became the de-facto commercial platform for certifying equipment sold to companies such as Intel and IBM. Quality Assurance: I have extensive background in every aspect of the testing process. I clearly understand that excellent test results are the culmination of a: rigorous requirements discovery and analysis, comprehensive test specification and expert test plan development that covers unit testing to regression testing. I was a co-founder of a company called CCS Technology Inc. which designed and sold test plans for the semiconductor industry that certified industry equipment communication standards. Technical Skills: I have many years of experience in the C family of languages as well as PHP, CSS and HTML I am proficient using Windows, Unix, Linux, Citrix and such APIs as Aptana Studio 3, MS Visual Studio. I have experience with Seibel and Access along with HP's ALM (application lifecycle management). I have significant exposure to internet SaaS Cloud development projects. Other tools and script languages: Selenium, Textpad, PuTTY, xampp, JIRA, MindJet, several online CRM products, unix scripting with bash, csh, sh.
