I am the Technical Lead for two multi-platform (Android and iOS) mobile applications. One is a legacy application used by front-line police officers focussed on the US market. The other is a new application aimed at providing high-grade evidence capture in a BYOD environment. Prior to this I worked primarily on the Pronto software suite. I have worked in several key areas with a wide range of technology in this role. The majority of my work has been with Java and Android development.When I started in this position the company was known as Kelvin Connect. The company had just been bought out by Airwave. Shortly after rebranding as Airwave, Airwave was then bought out by Motorola Solutions.

Barcelona

I interned at Yahoo Labs under Dr. Mounia Lalmas and investigated website cursor-tracking data and user engagement. I carried out a literature review, designed an experiment, implemented the required software and ran two large-scale experiments using Amazon Mechanical Turk. We are currently publishing the results of this work.

Hunterian Museum, University Of Glasgow, Scotland

I was employed by the Hunterian Museum's Multimedia department to work on a mobile technology project. My objective was to support the Museum's successful bid to have the Antonine Wall declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. This involved carrying out feasibility studies and demonstrating prototype mobile information systems to potential sponsors and UNESCO representatives. The Antonine Wall was declared a UNESCO world heritage site in July 2008.
