I started my career within retail and worked through the ranks of Supervisor, Junior Deputy manager, up to Deputy Manager. Companies included Somerfield, Asda, Must Have IT and Discovery Store. During my time with these companies, I re-wrote most of their training and support manuals so that they were much easier to use and follow.I always had a hunger for technical and moved from retail into providing technical support for BT Engineers.During my time with BT, I worked as a freelance technical adviser on a variety of external projects and began learning about SEO, hosting and web design. This in turn led to me being hired by SmartMediaPro.com to work on a number of projects, the biggest being wp-Member.com. On the day that wp-Member was launched, the website already ranked in the first position for many valuable and relevant search results. Both wp-Member.com and SmartMediaPro.com have been a huge success, primarily due to the SEO and structured customer framework I created.I then moved on to creating my own company Watkinson Website Development where I worked with many large clients such as Take2 Interactive (the parent company of Rockstar Games) and Fila.
