I am a seventh-generation Henry Countian and a 1986 graduate of Henry County High School (Go Patriots!). My wife is Dr. Michele Webb, and we are members of Maplewood Baptist Church, where I serve as a deacon, and teach Sunday School. I am a Henry County Commissioner representing the 5th District.As county historian, member of the Public Records Commission, president of the Henry County Historical Society, and board member of the Paris-Henry County Heritage Center, I help preserve the county’s historical documents and artifacts, place historical markers, design exhibits, and write and interpret local history. I have also helped the community in other capacities, including serving as vice president of the Henry County Helping Hand Radio Auction and the Henry County Medical Center Board of Trustees, as well as volunteering for various activities in our community. My goal is to help make a better Henry County.I teach AP U.S. History and Dual Enrollment U.S. History through Jackson State Community College. I sponsor the History Club and serve as chair of the HCHS Social Studies Department.
