My job was to walk National Guard and Reserve soldiers through the mobilization process after they were called up for active duty to serve overseas. This included the issuing of gear, weapons qualification training, logistical transportation support, etc. Once they returned from their tour of active duty my job was to walk them through the demobilization process.

Instructed German to Soldiers in the Special Forces Qualification Course

This was in the context of my mandatory duty to my country. I am German and in Germany men had to do either a civil job or volunteer in the military for a given time. I choose to get trained as a paramedic assistant and work at the local fire department in my hometown for 13 months. As a paramedics assistant I drove the Ambulance, performed first aid, CPR, checked patience vital functions, prepared syringes for doctors, hooked up patients to the EKG, etc.
