The CMS Workstream was part of the overall Solvency and Liquidity Funding Programme, and was specific to the implementation of Smartstream's CMS system in order to streamline Internal Cash Management and Real Time Nostro Reconciliation processes.• Dedicated BA resource to the project. I was responsible for Business Requirements for Balance Validation, Static Data mapping of internal and external feeds and Auto-Match Rules, improving the auto-match rates as a direct result.• Performed Gap Analysis around Lifecycle Management, implementing changes to prevent duplicate cashflows.• Documented UAT Test Scripts for upload into Jira• Completed UAT prior to implementation and for post implementation enhancements, managed via Jira in Agile Sprints

The project aim was to ensure day one readiness for NWM, to enable it to be compliant to trade in the event of a "No Deal" Brexit. I worked on the stream responsible for Trade Settlement and Reconciliation for the new NV Branch of NWM.• Dedicated Reconciliation SME responsible for the onboarding of new segregated NWM NV Nostros to the Smartstream TLM reconciliation platform.• Performed Gap Analysis to highlight requirements for the new nostros.• Delivered requirements for the operational readiness of the new nostros.• Worked with all functional streams (Recs, Core Ops, MO, Finance, Funding Client Data Management to produce approach documents and runbooks to be used for the migration of balances and feeds to be decoupled from existing nostros shared between different entities to the new segregated NWM NV nostros.• Tracked production proving payments to ensure downstream feeds settled as expected.• Achieved a successful migration and provided continuous support to off-shore teams post the migration in order to manage the mis-post process and ensure minimum disruption to our clients

Following the Independent Commission of Banking regulation around ring-fencing, the ICB programme delivered the required changes to stand up NatWest Markets, making it it's own legal entity as the Non Ring Fence Bank (NRFB) part of the group. I worked on the Bic and Nostros workstream of the programme.• Performed Gap Analysis of NRFB owned nostros held with the RFB to identify accounts impacted by ICB regulation.• Delivered change to re-engineer process flows and settlements across accounts to ensure ICB compliancy for day one readiness.• Performed Gap Analysis of nostro accounts that had shared operation between the RFB and NRFB, defining Business Requirements to operate new sole NRFB Nostros.•Supported the the design of the Business Operating Model for the new sole nostros, including migration approach documents and run books, collaborating with all functional streams to agree the approach.• Completed User Acceptance Testing of new processes and settlements across the new NRFB nostros.• Achieved a successful migration of NRFB balances and balances and open investigation breaks from shared nostros held in the Intellimatch reconciliation tool, across platform to the Smartstream TLM tool, circa 25 nostro accounts and 1,500 open items.• Defined the Mis-Post reporting process after ICB go live to mitigate the risk of cash being received on incorrect nostros and subsequent Cash Funding implications.

Nostro Risk and Control/Reconciliation SME supporting the off-shored Reconciliation team based in Chennai, acting as a central point of contact to facilitate the resolution of reconciliation issues raised by Global Functional Streams (Core Ops, Investigations, MO and Finance).• Produced weekly MI reporting for all Nostro and Depo breaks, providing supplementary commentary to substantiate causes for breaches of agreed KRI's. Chaired weekly control meetings, collaborating with Global Investigation Product streams to understand break issues and suggest potential solutions.• Performed monthly balance sheet attestation for all nostro source ledger balances, investigating any balance discrepancies.• Performed User Acceptance Testing for the on-boarding of new reconciliations onto TLM, ensuring proposed Reconciliations were fit for purpose, sustainable and suitable for the Global Control Framework.• Provided Cross Training for the transition of London based Control Roles to Chennai, producing training and procedural guides to aid the successful transition. Provided ongoing SME support to the Chennai based team after the transition.• Provided SME support to the out-sourced reconciliation team based in Chennai, following transition of roles from Singapore to Chennai, including onsite training and development.

The project aim was to implement a new Reconciliation and Investigation Platform (Smartstream's TLM) into RBS Global Banking and Markets, which would be used solely for Markets' Reconciliations, moving accounts off of the Smart platform that was shared with RBS Group, as well as migrating Investigation cases from an in house system. The migration moved circa 500 accounts in total. • Dedicated Reconciliation/Investigation SME to the project, contributing to the Business Requirements, ensuring that delivery would improve processes as well as supporting the design of the Operating Model.• Performed User Acceptance Testing and was responsible for Defect Management, ensuring that processes were not compromised.• Provided effective solutions to defects where straight-forward fixes could not be implemented, seeking agreement from impacted stakeholders.• Contributed to the design of the runbook and migration approach, to ensure a controlled migration between the legacy and new platforms.• Performed system overviews for teams globally, providing effective training and continued support after the completion of the successful migration.

The Nostro Reconciliation Team based in London was responsible for Multi Product and Multi Currency Nostro Reconciliation and Break Investigation, inclusive of T+1 and Real Time Nostro Settlements, prior to the off-shoring of roles to the Singapore Office.• Managed teams of circa 4/5 people within Nostro Reconciliations, carrying out Line Manager responsibilities.• Collated Management Information of Nostro Breaks, to ensure the transparency of breaks breaching KRI’s.• Investigation of multi-product nostro breaks including FX/MM, IRD and Fixed Income.• Provided cross training when roles were relocated to Singapore, including on-site SME support for 5 months, achieving successful off-shoring of the roles.• Provided continuous support to Singapore once the migration of roles was completed, demonstrating continued commitment to the migration by constantly imparting knowledge to others.
