David is an experienced and well credentialed Senior Executive with a successful track record in the planning, development and operation of logistics and infrastructure supply chains for commodities markets, including; coal, iron ore, grain and industrial products sectors. David has held Senior Executive positions within ASX Top 50 listed company Aurizon for the past 10 years and has had direct responsibility for Company Strategy, Business Transformation and Performance, Commercial Negotiations, Stakeholder Engagement, Major Projects, Joint Venture management, M&A and Business Development. He is a strategic thinker and dynamic leader whose signature strengths as a Senior Executive include his ability to communicate complex strategic thinking through the development of strong collaborative relationships both internally and externally, building high performance teams and being a champion of cultural change and business transformation. He has led up to seven direct reports and teams of up to 250 people (and overall responsibility for up to 3000 employees). He also has considerable experience across the business cycle, having led major business transformations as well as start-ups.David joined Aurizon (formerly QR National) in 2007 after a diversified career in the development and operation of supply chains in the mining/industrial, publishing and general retail industries.
