Reporting to the Head of Investment Strategy, the role involved managing just over AU $1.1 billion in equity portfolios as part of a small team. Duties Included:• Management of Developing and Emerging Market equity portfolios• Performing equity research and reviewing recommendations for trading and corporate action decisions from the team• Maintaining FX exposures within guidelines for hedged portfolios by monitoring positions and executing FX trades• Preparing analytical papers and recommendations to boards and committees as well as providing assistance to the Head of Investment Strategy with presentations• Preparing reports and presentations for financial advisors, fund of fund managers and end clients• Designing, testing and implementing new portfolios including reviewing and providing recommendations for portfolio management methodologies• Mentoring and providing assistance to junior colleagues

Originally hired as an Analyst Programmer, I transitioned into this role within the Business Solutions Department. Duties included:• Designing and coding major improvements to the company’s supply chain management software• Developing the replacement of the company’s point of sales software• Redesigning the company’s e-commerce website• Designing and producing reports to assist with management decisions
