About David Welch

To truly know who I am, we will go back and look at the strong women who raised me and the values she instilled in me from a young age. Growing up my mother was raised in a small farming town in south Texas where she worked with her six other siblings and my grandmother as migrant field workers. The hours were long, and the days were hot. Fast forward 30 years, she left that small farming town and is now a successful small business owner in Austin, Texas where I was raised. From a young age I was taught grit, hard work, determination, build something unique and always be kind. Growing up in Texas we have a culture of supporting small business and always trying to create something as big as we are. I was introduced to the startup eco-system by working at Oracle’s NetSuite Accelerator program where I was able to network with founders in a wide array of industries and understand the different pain points they experience with growth. Today I am lucky to work at TEN Capital Group in the world of startup fundraising and becoming an aid to founders in scaling up their businesses. Here at TEN Capital, I manage the Investor Relations and Strategic Partnership aspect of the business to connect our Angels, Angel groups, Venture Capital Groups, and Family Offices to investment deal flow in pre-seed to series B funding cycle.Looking for funding, new network connections, or ways to grow your start up?
