In the role of Deputy Chief Pilot I have been responsible for management of base personnel, writing shift roster patterns to make best use of personnel, interviewing personnel, managing purchases and financial decisions and representing the base to other organisations. From January 2022, I assumed the role of Chief Pilot, with overall responsibility for the base, its personnel and operations until a new permanent post-holder was in place.

Sumburgh

As Senior First Officer at the Sumburgh SAR base, I hold an ATPL(H)(IR), type rated on the S-92 helicopter. I am responsible for working effectively as part of a crew to achieve rescues in all manner of demanding conditions.
