I was project managing a 5 star Hotel and Villa Resort project . The built up area of the project is 48000 m2 of Hotel , Villa, Service Block, Labour Accommodation and Sewage treatment Plant. I am also involved in the coordination and control of Infrastructure and Landscaping. My duties include the Monitoring and Control of the major packages of the Main Contractor, Fit Out Contractor, Landscape Contractor. I have overall responsibility for the delivery of the project valued at 400,000, 000 QR including F F and E, preopening etc

United Kingdom

Project Manager for a subcontractor on a major refurbishment of a listed building in London.In May 2011 I completed the BSc in Construction Management. An opportunity came up to work for Construction Solutions Ltd based in London. They specialized in difficult demolition and refurbishment work in and around London. I took the role as Project Manager on the demolition and refurbishment of the Royal College of General Practitioners on Euston Road in London. This involved the demolition of sections of a building and the reintroduction of new walls and floors. Planning and coordination of the temporary work was vital to the success of the project. I gained valuable experience in this field and also the perspective of the Subcontractor dealing with a Main Contractor. I ultimately wanted to move back to the Middle East with my family and decided to move out of the United Kingdom in November 2012 to take up a position with KEO in Qatar.

United Arab Emirates

Project Manager on a Villa Development in Dubai, Jumeriah Golf Estates.In 2007 I was offered a position as a Project Manger with CHI Development Group by my former Director on the Nofa Equestrian Resort. This was a great opportunity to work on the client development side and to gain more experience from that perspective. My role involved the Design Development and Value Engineering of the design as well as the Monitoring and Control of the main contractor. I oversaw the construction, and handover of Lime tree Valley East during this period. I would have been heavily involved in contract issues including variations and claims.

United Arab Emirates

I moved to Dubai and took the role of a Site Manager. This meant being more involved with direct Labour and Package Management on the ground. It was a similar role to my time with John Sisk and Sons as a Site Engineer in that I managed the Subcontract packages and teams of Engineers and Foremen below me. The role covered temporary works, Floor, wall, ceiling construction and finishing. I was heavily involved in service coordination to ensure closures of ceilings and walls to allow follow on trades to complete their work. I did the usual construction administration such as time sheets, test and inspection sheets, short term programmes, Health and Safety management. Both projects I worked on were Luxury apartments in Marsa Plaza Dubai and Old Town Dubai.

Ireland

I returned to John Sisk and Sons to a position of Project Manager. I was involved in the Fit Out of several Projects including Demolition and reconstruction of Sections of the Vistakon Plant in Limerick, Fit out of an O2 service centre, Fit out of a Doctors Surgery, Fit out of Dunne's Stores Supermarket .During that time I would have been involved with all sub- contractors, service coordination, liaison with the Client and Design Consultants up to practical completion.

Saudi Arabia

In 2002 I was invited to join a Project Management team in Saudi Arabia to create a state of the art Equestrian Centre 100 km outside of Riyadh. During that time I was acting as a Project Manager Client side but also managing direct Labour and Subcontractors and Liaising with the Design Team from Buro Happold. I was involved in Design Development, Value Engineering through to handover of various elements of the Project including the construction of Management Villas, Admin and Labour Accommodation, Various stables, covering shed and Veterinary hospital buildings, paddock construction, Training track, Main Race course, Infrastructure including all major utilities and roads.

Ireland

My role as a Site Engineer with John Sisk and Sons would have involved site setting out with Theodolites and Total stations. I would have been responsible for setting up control points and providing line and levels to the various types of structure being constructed, be it steel frame, concrete frame or solid block wall. As projects progressed I would have managed various packages from Infrastructure to finishing. The role of the Site Engineer involved the day to day running of the sites and the control of the Subcontractors. As I moved through the levels to Senior Site Engineer and Assistant Project Manager my role would have evolved into Project Management duties depending on the size of the Project. During my 6 years with John Sisk and Sons I would have worked on Factory Buildings, Luxury Apartments, Office Blocks, Leisure Centers, and an Airport

Ireland

I started in Construction as an assistant to the Site Engineers and would have been involved in the setting up of profiles , range rods, levels etc before advancing to using the instruments and managing Subcontractors. I would also have looked after the administration, testing and inspection on various projects
