I have been employed full time by Roy Hill for over the last 7 months as a Refrigeration Technician. I was currently working at Brockman 4 mine site in Western Australia on an 8/6 Fly in Fly out role. Due to the down turn of the iron ore price and the new structure going on in Rio Tinto my job became redundant. I was responsible for the installation, fault finding and repair of all Refrigeration and Air-conditioning systems. These include all village and camp air-conditioning and refrigeration Freezer room’s Cool room’s split system air-conditioning and Package systems I also looked after the mine site Sub stations which have Apac air-conditioning Package system in them also look after the water Chillers on site for the plant. Conduct risk management assessments and oversee all tasks to ensure OH&S requirements. I was the Safety Representative for our department in Infrastructure.
