Experienced leader with a background in audit and a strong desire to help others succeed. I am a US CPA from Tennessee and have worked in public practice for most of my career since 2006, with over 15 years auditing various types of funds and many years auditing broker dealers. I consider myself a technically strong auditor, but also people and business oriented, all skills I use to meet my clients' needs.In 2017 I fulfilled a lifelong goal of entrepreneurship and opened the first franchise of F45 Training in Downtown Halifax. F45 is a HIIT based fitness studio with over 3,000 locations worldwide. I was involved in all operational aspects of the business from incorporation, site selection, design and construction, hiring a training a team of employees, sales and marketing, and everything in between. On a day-to-day basis, I strived to provide my team the resources to succeed doing what they love - helping others see life changing results in their health and fitness. The business didn't fully recover from the pandemic effects and shut down in January 2023, and while financially wasn't successful it provided invaluable experiences and lessons.
