IME manufacture machine systems & provide service based solutions for the mining & mineral processing industries.Responsibilities:• Leadership for the technology function underpinning manufacturing, sales, marketing & production• Management of a team of 13 technical staff split between Queensland & Chile sites above across helpdesk, networking, security, business analysis & development functions• Full management of Profit & Loss for a $3.5m technology budget• Attendance & reporting at the board meetings• Contract management of external vendorsKey Achievements:• Successful project management of the $2m upgrade from MS Dynamics AX 2004 to 2012 including integration with data cubing and dashboard tools to display DIFOT measures and improvements in RFID tagging for more efficient warehousing• Establishment of a project office to facilitate both business & technology projects and ensure quality assurance • Completed the rollout of an international Wide Area Network (WAN) along with MS Lync based VoIP phone system• Established a data center at head office including backup generators, Vesda fire suppression and redundant communications

CitySmart is Brisbane City Council’s sustainability agency, run with a commercial focus CitySmart partners with business, industry, Government & the community to reduce Brisbane's carbon emissions. Due to rapid growth in staff numbers CitySmart had been experiencing significant issues with their technology infrastructure and strategy, I was contracted to audit their current technology position and subsequently provide recommendations to provide a scalable solution for future growth aligned to their business goals with ongoing measurable results.Contract Deliverables:• Provide a formal analysis & benchmarking of the existing technology eco system• Provide a five-year roadmap designed to improve CitySmart’s systems reliability, functionality & capacity for growth whilst improving their return on investment for IT spend with business aligned milestones• Support management in identifying external funding grant opportunities & assist in compiling the necessary documentation & application paperwork for successful rewarding of $100k in funding.
