The most important thing that I say about myself is this: I am not just passionate about wanting to 'make a difference', I have done it. And I want to keep on making a difference in the best way that I can! My coaching is directed to those of you who are leaders who want to 'make a difference'. I understand the importance of coaching every individual in their individual pathway. I have the experience and expertise to know how to make a difference, and I am sharing this with entrepreneurs and leaders who have similar values and commitment. After 40 years working in the voluntary sector, I have gained more than 25 years of first-hand experience of senior executive leadership and management. In 1990 I set up a charity for people with a learning disability which grew to a highly recognised organisation of £6.5m T/O and employing 350 staff. Helping people with a learning disability discover their aspirations, and the means to realise them, led me to coaching. I have been coaching since 2014. I am a Full member of the Association for Coaching, the professional body for qualified coaches. I trained and qualified with the ILM in Executive Coaching & Mentoring and, following a merger of the charity, I have transferred my skills and become an established coach. I have coached both voluntary and private sector with a wide range of business missions. I have coached voluntary sector CEOs and S.M.T. to envisage strategy and enhance performance. I can help strengthen the bridge between trustees and the organisation. I can help when the CEO role feels isolated or lonely; especially for those new to the role. In March 2016 ROC won the Skills for Care National Award for "Most Effective Integration and New Models of Social Care" acknowledging innovation and effectiveness. Also March 2016 ROC has achieved a second CQC 'outstanding' (out of just 3 inspections)Over the years I have acquired an expertise in organisation development and the intricacies of running a Charitable Organisation in the current times. I have headed the charity from the beginning of the 25 years of ROC delivering services to people with a learning disability. My role has been to lead the growth and development through the many different stages of maturing to the organisation that ROC is now. Across Devon and Cornwall ROC supports more than 400 people with a learning disability, employs more than 400 staff and began 2015, the 25th Anniversary year, being one of the first three services nationwide to achieve an "Outstanding"​ rating from the Care Quality Commission's inspection.
