Manages the Network Services Unit that consists of a Senior Network System Administrator, System technical Support Specialist, Desktop Technical Support Specialist.A member of the management team at MTRS, and Change Advisory Board (CAB) and Project Steering Committee.Responsible for all purchases a related to MTRS’s technology infrastructure including: local area network, wide area network and necessary communication systems.Participating in strategic planning in the IT Unit and leading special projects, for example, Virtual Private Networks, strengthening data security, and disaster recovery plan, etc. Researches and provides the CTO annually the technology priorities, equipment repairs and recommends hardware and software upgrades and procurements.Prepares annual Network Services Unit budget for the agency.Determine necessary policies and procedures for the LAN and WAN infrastructure.Overseas the Disaster Recovery plan for network and primary pension application.Oversee and verify NVAs and other security tests, and maintain required documentation for network and pension system infrastructure.Serve as the Hosting Lead for the agency with Hosting Vendor of primary pension system.As the agency’s designated Information Security Officer (ISO):Act as MTRS’s liaison with EOTSS relating to infrastructure and security matters.Manage agency wide security policies and systems.Ensure the agency meets all mandated security and compliance standards such as Mass IT security policies, regulations, guidelines.
