Planning, Prioritisation and Co-ordination of all maintenance and inspection activities on the rig to maximise rig efficiency, with over sight and direct supervision of a Technical Department consisting of Mechanical, Electrical and Electronic supervisors and technicians

Responsible for the overall management and running of the Electrical department on board reporting to and liaising with the Rig management team offshore and onshore. Planning and executing preventative and corrective maintenance on all Electrical and marine equipment encompassing a complex NOV drilling package ensuring rig down time is kept to a minimum, including administration of the JDE management system. Ensuring inspections are carried out correctly and on time to keep in line with all standards and legislation. Participating in and upholding compliance all to HSE regulations and initiatives including; MARPOL, Permit to work, COSHH, Risk assessments, 3C System systems. Equipment responsibility – NOV Top Drive HPS 750, NOV Drawworks SSGD-750, NOV Pipe Handling Equipment – Hydraracker X-Y, Hydratong MPT, Catwalk Machine. NOV Knuckleboom Crane, Seatrax Pedestal Cranes, MI Swaco & NOV VSM 300 Shale shakers, Vetco Grey BOP Control unit, NOV Triplex Mud Pumps 14-P-220, Caterpiller 3516B diesel engines and KATO Generators all below decks marine equipment and auxiliaries

Ensuring maintenance schedules are completed within timescales.Ensuring Rig downtime due to equipment failure is kept to a minimum.Ensure preventative maintenance system is being carried out as per equipment maintenance procedures.Ensure replacement parts are kept to a minimum by maximising repair facilities.

During my time at Tyco F.I.S I have been involved with the survey, design, install and commissioning of Interface hook-ups between Gas Platforms and Jack-ups / Drill rigs, involving F&G instrumentation, alarm, P.A and telephone systems.

In the time i have spent at E-tech I have been involved in hazardous area, industrial and marine instillations, ranging from Power Generation through to Small Power distribution and lighting. I have been responsible for testing and commissioning of MCC, Power Generation Control switchboards & various types of Alarm indication panels, including the current injection of breakers and safety relay units.
