My responsibilities include coordinating and marketing the Employment Skills Training (EST) program which provides unemployed newcomers with essential employment skills training including computer skills, business communication skills and job search skills in order to enter the Canadian job market.I supervise the EST instructors, monitor the program and produce numerous reports for management and the provincial and federal governments.I also promote corporate partnerships with CIES and assist all CIES students to help find suitable employment.

I was a contract computer trainer for the Business and Continuing Education Departments specializing in all of the MS office products including Access, Excel, Internet, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, Publisher, Website Design and Word. I also taught introductory Math and Statistical courses. I was seconded to work for the International Department providing advanced computer training in OS, Project Management and MS Office in China to Phillips 66 employees working offshore in the South China Sea. I professionally designed the course materials to meet international training standards. I also trained across Canada and the USA for Xerox and Lipton.

I successfully managed all aspects of computer training at Productivity Point International in Calgary. This included the hiring, scheduling, and training of computer trainers, classroom setup, marketing activities and training in MCSE and MS Application courses.

I was the founder and promoter of a new junior oil and gas company traded on the TSE. I was the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for the company as well as the computer manager for this publically traded company. I helped raise $4 million for startup and joint venture operations.
