As a Deacon in the Roman Catholic Church, I assist at Mass on the alter. Conduct funeral services, baptisms, and weddings. I am also involved with several ministries throughout the Diocese as needed, but mostly at my home parish, St. Michael's Catholic Church in Cary, NC. This also provides me with the credentials to work as a Chaplain at the Cary Police Department where I retired as a Major.

As the Executive Director, was also the founder and developer. We have been in existence since January 2017 and continue to be successful at finding and meeting needs. As a subject matter expert, I am responsible for certification of law enforcement training courses throughout the Nation in order to provide a standard of professionalism for law enforcement. I also mentor and develop new subject matter experts on course analysis.

Responsible for instruction of the North Carolina Concealed Carry Handgun course for civilians. The course has been taught since its inception in 1995.

The Major over the Services Bureau provides management support to the Criminal Investigations Division, The Communications Division, Records and Accreditation Division, the Traffic Safety Team and the IMPACT Team. This position has the direct responsible for the management of the budget for these Divisions, discipline, and resource management. Currently serve as a member of the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force Executive Board, and have the additional responsibility of the Emergency Management Coordinator.

The Captain over the Criminal Investigations Division supervises one lieutenant and two sergeants that are responsible for all functions of investigations of the Cary Police Department. This position is responsible for a daily media briefing and doing on camera interviews. Additionally, this position is also the Team Commander for the Crisis Negotiations Team and the Police Liaison to the Cary Crime Stoppers Program.

The Captain in the Field Operations Division was put into place to assist the Division Commander with weekend operations and specialty teams. This position functioned as the Watch Commander over the weekend dayshift team and the Commander over the weekend nightshift team along with the Traffic Safety Unit and IMPACT.

The position has a great number of responsibilities including Training, Citizen Police Academy, Fleet Management, and Emergency Management. As the Emergency Management Coordinator the responsibilities included researching, developing, writing, and training the Emergency Operation Plans for the Department along with planning, and participating in event rehearsals on a municipal, county and statewide level.
