I joined Dow Jones as a Digital Marketing Associate. I currently oversee all Google and Microsoft paid media efforts for The Wall Street Journal, Barron's, and MarketWatch publications globally. That includes managing the Paid Search, Display, YouTube, and other products within each platform. I work closely with the acquisition team which mainly focuses on direct response ads to grow our subscription base. I also work closely with the brand marketing team, WSJ Student team, engagement team as well as the events team to help promote breaking news stories, content pieces, and select WSJ+ events through paid media.I had the opportunity of advancing our overall Google media strategy by reconsidering how we use each product. Google is a massive media channel where we can connect with more users than we ever thought. I was able to present to senior leadership how we plan to use each part of the marketing funnel with each of Google's ad products and how it will help drive more people to interact with our brand. This sparked interest in senior leaders to increase funding in paid media efforts for the following fiscal year.Some business goals that I was able to reach was the migration of two international ad accounts in-house, and the advancement and evolution of our paid search media strategy. Each opportunity presented itself with challenges in which I worked with my team as well as our account reps for each platform. Successfully completing these goals was a huge accomplishment for the business and myself as we are now able to capture more users at a more cost efficient rate.

I had the privilege of working for my high school ice hockey team for two seasons. I was assisting the head coach for all three teams within our organization. Working on three teams, ranging from middle school all the way through high school presented an opportunity to teach these young kids what being on a competitive team means. I played from middle school through high school, with the same coach who is still inspiring these kids today, so it was important for me to give back to the school and team that I had so much fun with. In my second year coaching, I took on more responsibility by supporting the middle school team as head coach. I ran practices and games throughout the season which allowed me to be more creative while still making sure the kids had fun and learnt something.With my second year behind the bench of the varsity team, we had an unbelievable run through the playoffs, and were able to capture the 2019 county title. This was a huge accomplishment for the team since they hadn't won any championship for at least 10-15 years. Even when I played, the team had a long way to go in terms of winning playoffs, so to see how far this club has come was amazing to see especially for the coaches, players, and families.

Right after graduation I accepted a position as a Media Trainee part of Publicis Media's media Trainee Program. This program lasted 4 months which were split between 2 rotations which were 2 months each. After the 4 months, we would eventually 'graduate' and move into a full time position within the agency. My first Rotation was in Paid Search where I worked on Nintendo, BASF, and Qantas. My second rotation was Analytics where I worked on Liberty Mutual Insurance, and Pizza Hut.
