CurrentI have supervisory experience both in the Uniform Patrol Division and in the Court Security Section.As a supervisor, I approve reports, schedule training, approve payroll, complete annual evaluations, handle complaints and discipline, and deal with operational and administrative issues with employees.As the CALEA/CFA Coordinator for the Court Security Section, I ensure proper accreditation records are maintained. I also assist with tours and interviews for the reaccreditation processes for the Section.While assigned to the Uniform Patrol Division, I monitored calls for service to ensure they were handled in a timely and appropriate manner. I managed in-progress calls of violent crimes. I developed and ran special details targeting crime hot spots in my assigned area. I used ICS principles to successfully resolve high-risk incidents.I am currently an Agency Firearms Instructor, Shoot House Instructor and Scenario Instructor. I am a member of the Court Security Section Training Committee, where I assist with the development of Section-specific training. I was in charge of the courtroom operations in the Casey Anthony trial. I worked in the planning and operational phase of the trial. I supervised and provided security for the courtroom during the trial and conducted escorts of sequestered jurors during their time away from the trial.I was a member of the Courthouse Emergency Response Team (CERT) for ten years. As a member of CERT, I worked several protection details involving judges and other elected officials. I also attended and instructed tactical scenarios and training classes on a regular basis during my ten years assigned to CERT.
