In my first year, I delivered an online presentation alongside older students and professors. On behalf of the Geography Department, I discussed both the academic and social aspects of life at Southampton University to prospective students. With my team we provided information about the university to offer holders and potential future students. I am looking forward to the next two Open Days as I enjoy talking with people who can I help with their decision making. Being a student ambassador is a great opportunity to develop my soft skills and connect with a range of people.

Over several lessons, I provided maths tutoring for two students. As preparation for entering secondary school they were looking to sharpen up and revise their maths. By practicing questions, looking at model answers and making sure they took their time each student was able to improve significantly. This opportunity has allowed me to develop my teaching skills and ultimately I have learned to communicate effectively with younger clients.

I completed five weeks of employment for Trinity School of John Whitgift. Through this opportunity I gained valuable work experience and developed my hard skills such as painting and maintence. As well as this, I elevated my soft skills such as communication, management and leadership. Working alongside other alumni students we reminisced over old memories, discussed present issues and even postulated possible solutions that might help progress the school. Ultimately, the five weeks allowed me to give back to a place that has given me so much, sustaining the greatness which transpires at Trinity.

Held wait staff position in the restaurant helping out with prep in the kitchen and setting up front of house for service. As well as this, I was also asked to join their catering team for large events such as weddings which catered for over a 100 people.
