I enjoy all aspects of my job, but my main passion is for digital content creation and being able to drive change within a training & development function. My keen interest in future technologies and techniques allows me to come up with innovative new ways of delivering training.I have worked in a whole range of different industries from construction to telecoms. I have a passion for new technologies and how they can be used to increase business performance through targeted and relevant learning. My experience in multimedia learning including e-learning, video micro learning and gamification has allowed me to develop learning solutions for a wide range of learners.My role as Senior Instructional Designer at Day One Technologies puts me at the forefront of design for a wide range of different clients across the world, and even in different languages. I have to the opportunity to interact with clients to define and develop their requirements for customer and staff learning.My main previous role was for TalkTalk Plc. For 6.5 years I worked within the learning and development team to help design and deliver e-learning and classroom trainer led content on business processes and products. In this role I looked after all aspects of Technical Support training across front line operations as well as manage the workload of 8 offshore based digital content designers. I worked on a number of high profile campaigns including a project to design and deliver training across our offshore partners to reduce average customer handling time on the phone and improve overall customer satisfaction. I was heavily involved in implementing TalkTalk’s New Way of Learning, a program to shift employee on boarding to a more digital / blended way of learning. A project that was a finalist for a Learning Technologies award in 2015. More recently I have become a mentor for the eLearning Network and enjoy helping others develop their skills and experience.
