DAVID BAIRD, Architect and Founder of BUILDING IDEAS, spent three decades practicing architecture and directing multi-disciplinary teams consisting of Architects, Engineers and other Experts. David was one of the first Architects in Tennessee to be accredited by the U.S. Green Building Council for Sustainable/Green Design (LEED-AP). He has also studied Real Estate Finance and Development through the G.N.A.R. and the Urban Land Institute. David has participated in the creation of the “Plan of Nashville”.BUILDING IDEAS Corporate Design Studio: We Plan, Design and Manage Architectural Design, Interior Design and Land Planning projects for Educational, Cultural, Healthcare, Civic, Commercial, Religious and Non-Profit clients.Residential Design Studio: We provide Site Planning, Architectural Design and Interior Design for different types of Urban Infill Housing such as Multi-Family, Cottage Housing Developments, Urban Hostels and Single Family Residences for progressive real estate developers and individuals. We design LEED and Energy Certified homes.Interior Design Studio: We provide Space Planning, Design, Material and Finish Selection, Furniture procurement and installation. Our work with residential developers focuses on creating individual styles for uniquely branded projects. Sustainable Design Studio: We provide experienced guidance for the certification process for LEED certified commercial and residential projects as well as Energy Star certified residential projects.
