Wheels, Inc. -- Des Plaines, Illinois• Worked on Phase I of Wheels Data Quality Initiative. Converting the current KPI Metrics pulled from transaction servers to data warehouse based procedures, for speed and accuracy of reporting.• Joined New Product Development to work on ETL and BA tasks for product 002. Using a myriad of tools to convert data between web applications. SSIS from SQL to MongoDB using C# script tasks, Excel to Access to JSON conversion to C# to MongoDB, in research and development phases for 002. • R&D efforts for market validation, supporting the NPD team in whatever tasks are required for pulling data from the data warehouse as we develop 002.• Analysis of various products to be researched in our development environment to speed up application development. • Writing detailed documentation for future use on new products tested and analyzed.• Set up video streaming in the cloud for test use within innovation products.

TreeHouse Foods, Inc.--Oak Brook, Illinois• Many data conversions were done from ISeries to SAP, using MS Access, Excel and SQL Server 2005.• Promotional Sales files were taken from a home grown ISeries system, broken out into data mapping and reworked into the new SAP format. Successful trial run and live conversions.• Converted last three years of Sales History data to fit into SAP’s BW tool. Many hours spent comparing data files to their reporting used in both systems for verification. • Worked with an offshore project team, sending them design documents for coding projects and quality checking code coming in from our delivery team. All in RPG for various interface programs between SAP and the ISeries, fixing any inconsistencies that may pop up after initial testing was complete. • Reworked interface programs that were not fully designed at the outset and added major amounts of code in RPG, taking an interactive programs and making them into a batch environment programs. These were heavily tested and in production. Today these modules are handling thousands of orders daily. • Quality controlled documentation written for all the interfaces and ancillary maintenance programs.• Modified all ancillary programs that were written for maintenance of work and cross reference files.

Being a computer consultant and programmer by day, at night I work on video productions for marketing projects. I've built a portfolio over the last few years and I'm in the process of creating a new website to highlight those projects and showcase my music projects.

• Developed ETL tools via MS Access to extract data from the London server, which were all I-Series machines. Wrote several programs on the I-Series to help consolidate the data that was being brought into the data warehouse. We used a Mercury script to run automatically on a daily basis with a scheduler on the PC. • Re-designed and re-wrote Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Sales and Marketing reports using heavy and advanced SQL stored procedures, advanced Crystal Reports using Business Objects for automation of reporting needs.• Designed and developed a comprehensive Intranet model to be used by the entire company.• Designed, coded, integrated and implemented reports between three reservation software systems. ATOP to 4DS-Contour and then to ODL-Travel Studio, using ETL tools DTS and SSIS.• Designed, coded and implemented an automated labeling system for the Brochure Distribution Center.• Designed, coded and implemented a Past Traveler system for marketing demographics and direct marketing analysis, using SQL Server 2005 stored procedures, SSIS, Crystal Reports and MS Excel.• Designed a relational database for a data warehouse/data mining facility on a SQL Server 2005 platform to be used as an ad-hoc reporting environment using Crystal Reports.• Converted MS Access time consuming queries in production databases to SQL 2005 stored procedures. Saving the company, many processing hours.• Designed, coded and implemented an automated documentation system for pre-tour documents and forms using MS Access and SQL 2005 stored procedures. To be used in high-speed printers and personalized to the customer’s profile information.• Designed, coded and implemented a new data warehouse cube for the current reservation software system ODL-Travel Studio and added cross-over system coding via SQL 2005 stored procedures to handle the new tables when 4DS-Contour systems were switched.

• Designed, developed, and implemented year 2000 compliant conversion in RPG/400 on an F model AS/400.• Merger/acquisition system integration and conversion for 450 retail chain outlet.• AS/400 System Upgrades.• Automated a perpetual inventory system resulting in an annual, on-going savings of $500,000 per year using RPG/400 tied into Lawson Financial/Retail systems.• Designed and developed customer purchase historical data allowing profiling of customer purchase patterns and the development of “Preferred Customer” frequent purchase programs.• Developed conversion programs for automatic downloading of daily POS sales data into a marketing forecasting system.

- Worked on their Service package on the AS/400. Helping them complete some projects with invoicing and maintenance scheduling of their sign maintenance contractors.

• Started as a junior level consultant and quickly worked up to Senior Consultant in 1993. Mainly RPG/400 work for various retail and manufacturing clients. Working with home-grown large scale systems and canned packages such as Lawson Retail and Financials and JD Edwards. Was certified in Synon and Lansa in 1994. Reformed the Education Practice in 1996 and was a teacher/trainer for college students fresh out of school in RPG/400, CL and all the tools we used on our projects. Clients are listed below. • PetCare Superstores - Major overhaul of distribution center modules in Lawson Financials and POS system software with ETL tools translated into AS/400 tables read into the inventory programs within Lawson Financials.• Cole Parmer Instrument - Worked on a homegrown software package This was a warehouse management system. Designed, maintained, tested and ran quality assurance testing for the latter part of their project.• PetCare Superstores - Maintenance and trouble shooting of various customer coded modules in Lawson Financials on an F series AS/400 in RPG/400. Heavy custom coding of entry and reporting modules. • Donlen - I was brought on at the end of the project to produce results in a short period of time. All in RPG/400 and CL on the AS/400.• Handy Andy - Converted older version of JD Edwards to newer version on the AS/400.• Marketing Information Systems - Homegrown CRM packaged developed by IBM and maintained by Marketing Information Systems. We were there for ongoing design, coding, implementation and roll-out. I wrote a front end to make query language dynamic in report requests so that it built from passed parameters on the fly in CL. IBM took my front end and used it in several pieces for later projects. • Reynolds Metals - All in house programs at Reynolds. Heavy manufacturing experience. I managed, designed and maintained the Purchasing and Storeroom programs.

Pakula & Company was a manufacturer of quality fashion jewelry that you would find at JC Penney, Saks, Lord & Taylor and even at K-Mart. Its home office was in downtown Chicago at the Apparel Mart, which is now the Chicago Sun Times. Their manufacturing facility was in Cranston, RI. While I worked for Pakula, I started out as an operator on the System 38 and became and RPG III programmer, which led into the AS/400 field.

Village was my first job in the Chicago area. I started as a sales clerk and worked my way up to Purchasing Agent before I left to pursue my career in programming. While at Village, I learned all my background on retail and inventory control from the owner, Roger Borman. Roger was the best teacher in the field of experience with customer relations, marketing, merchandising and inventory control. I never had a better teacher in the business world. May he rest in peace.
