Profile bio

About David Bishop

For the past few years I've built up a career in project management, starting on this path working for Yell as a copywriter, but quickly moving into a more senior role as a project manager within the same company. This lead me to a position at Clock where I was working on a variety of exciting and innovative web based projects, developing my skills as well as continuously learning in an agile work environment.Working as a project manager allowed me to apply my organisational skills on a day-to-day basis, whether it's looking at the overall plan at the initial stages of a project or checking the details to make sure the brief is followed. While this requires a degree of planning and organisation, by choosing to use the agile manifesto as a guide for running projects, it allows us to adapt and remain flexible with changing requirements. Not only does this allow us to deliver a product the client actually wants, rather than one they thought they wanted a few months ago, it helps to constantly question whether something can be done in a better way.I have since moved to a new position at Cyber-Duck, using my past experience in a new and exciting environment. I am also helping run the PMO to make sure we deliver the best possible experience for clients. Specialities: Project management, agile, scrum, cms training, client relationship building.

Listed skills include Seo, Copywriting, Web Project Management, Digital Marketing, and 11 others.

Kings Langley

After just under two years, I was promoted within the company to a mid-weight project management position. This has given me extra responsibly as I am now managing larger and more complex projects, using my past experience to ensure successful delivery with greater involvement at each stage of the project. This ensures clients have a solid grasp of the products we build them and requires me to not only have an in-depth knowledge of the work we do, but to explain how to use the product clearly for first time users. Some of the tasks involved in the job include:- Project requirement gathering and getting the right people involved- Preparing for, organising and facilitating scoping sessions- Organising the relevant and necessary meetings during the course of the project- Initial resource planning and adapting it to changing requirements- Retrospectives and implementing changes to improve process- CMS training- Problem solving- Keeping the right level of communication between different departments within the business and the clientSome of client's I've worked with include Riot Games, Nielsen, Stonegate Pub Company, RIBA Journal, the BFI and DC Thomson,

Kings Langley

When I first joined Clock, I started out as a Junior Project Manager, managing numerous web based projects. The role involved working closely with both the client and the various internal teams to make sure we delivered websites which met the client's requirements, while also offering our expertise and guidance. This role required good organisations skills in order to successfully keep projects on track, making sure communication was kept up between departments, requirements were captured and projects were delivered on time and on budget. While doing this, I built up my core project management skills, learning more about working in an agile environment and in particular focusing on Scrum and undergoing training to become a certified scrum master.
