As the Systems Product Engineer. I am responsible for coordinating all aspects of systems quotes to provide a smooth transition through the quoting stage, including interfacing with sub-contractors, end users, and internal customers. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS •Provide technical support for all Salespeople throughout the quoting stage of a project. •Reviews all design parameters used to develop system, including products to be handled, throughputs, safety requirements, etc. •Reviews system layouts for accuracy and makes changes as required to correct problem areas. •Responsible for all quoted pricing. •Develop a preliminary project schedule for all new projects. •Conducts on-site verifications of existing conditions prior to the start of system development. Checks all local codes that may affect Abel-Womack supplied equipment and ensures compliance. •Works with suppliers and/or general contractor to assist them in providing accurate price quotes. Maintains dialog with suppliers as required to support their needs. •Continually establishes and maintains relationships with equipment suppliers to support development of designs, interfaces, firm pricing and delivery schedules. •Upon receipt of an order, verifies site conditions and dimensions, updates project schedule, reconciles costs to reflect any late equipment or pricing changes. •Prepares engineered layout drawings, bills of materials, spare parts lists, maintenance manuals •Orders equipment and services. •Coordinates with sub contractors to ensure timely project completion •Monitors installation progress •Supports system check out, run-in and commissioning
