Dollar responsibility - $25Million• Developed long term partnership agreements with suppliers of paper products, through consolidation, for improved quality, delivery, and support, to reduce total ownership costs: Realized improvement of 9% for quality and 13% for delivery of purchased material by developing and monitoring a computer generated supplier-rating system. Achieved a reduction in material costs of 3.5% by initiating and implementing a plan to optimize the supplier base from 11 to 5.• Initiated vendor certification process, in conjunction with International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001, to assure that suppliers complied with ISO regulations.• Provided training and support to purchasing individuals in three US plants.
