During my internship at Abbott I worked on various projects. I had many responsibilities while there. One in particular was to produce an electronic protocol for inventory management of computer spare parts. For one project in particular, I automated and populated a database matching 15,000 parent, child, and orphaned technical assets. This involved heave data analysis and a good amount of interaction with the project's stakeholders. I was also in charge of creating and managing a database to control Abbott's global computer hardware assets. To go along with with that I developed a spreadsheet to calculate the cost of shipping goods globally so Abbott could effectively plan shipments and their associated costs. I was also asked to help with the financial plan for a presentation to senior management. This involved intense deadlines and an understanding of how things ran within the company.

During my time as a service management intern I created, managed, and enhanced a labor estimation questionnaire/database. I also managed projects involving the updating of servers and systems. I provided resource scheduling and Gantt charts. For my case competition we assessed the current CNA.com website and developed a new updated system and budget for CNA case competition. Another part of my position was assisting in the creation of scripts to update and backup data. I also spent time developing physical diagrams of environments using Visio.

I assisted in the implementation of two asset-tracking systems. One was a RFID based tracking system in the operating room and intensive care unit, and the other was a barcode instrument tracking system for the operating room. Along those lines, I also defined potential improvements or upgrades for those systems. I performed efficiency testing, system user interface testing, and system redevelopment. At the end I conducted system reviews.

I Configured, installed and supported more than 50 computers in medical research building and laboratory.
