Managed 15 clinics in Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas. Responsible for staffing, training, and motivating clinic teams to provide outstanding customer service in a medical, convenient care environment.• Opened 7 clinics in 4 months. Interviewed, hired, and provided training for 7 Clinic Managers and 7 Nurse Practitioners. Coordinated construction and pre-opening installation of equipment. Result: All clinics opened as planed and exceeded their 1st month revenue expectations by at least 50%.• Developed and implemented a Clinic Visit Protocol. Designed a checklist with input from Nurse Practitioners. The checklist included clinical standards, patient satisfaction metrics, financial results, and compliance issues. Result: Performance expectations were clearly defined and articulated. Clinic standards compliance improved across the district.

Oversaw the operations of 14 Vision Centers located in Wal-Mart stores in the Houston area. • Developed and implemented a video presentation to support quarterly promotions. Developed a Power Point slide presentation, transferred the presentation to DVD, and acquired the necessary equipment for each Vision Center to play the DVD. Result: Immediate traffic increase. My district out-performed the company for the quarter. The program was adopted as a corporate standard for all Vision Centers. • Developed and implemented a program to reduce shrink and markdowns. Created a form to track markdowns and justifications. The program allowed management to identify training opportunities to reduce markdowns and to make sure we could identify unauthorized discounts. Result: Shrink was reduced by 50% and markdowns were reduced 33%.

Directed the operations of 20 optical departments within Sears stores in the Houston area. • Developed and implemented a Lensometer Certification program. The program included use of the Lensometer, optical calculations, quality standards and quality inspections. The program ended with a test for company certification. Result: Remakes and Refunds were reduced by over 10% with every dollar going to the bottom line. The training was adopted as a corporate standard and was implemented in more than 200 Sears stores in the US.• Improved sales and customer satisfaction. Trained the district employees, using a simple sales model - Greet, discover needs, present products based on needs, overcome objections, close. The training was a combination of lecture, demonstration, and role-playing. Result: The District earned numerous performance awards from 1999 to 2002.
