One of my favorite quotes in the world is, "People don't quit their jobs, they quit their bosses." While this isn't always the case, nothing makes working a job better than having someone supporting you from higher up. That is my goal: to make the workplace a better place for both the employees and the customers we vow to serve. Hi! My name is David and I'm a passionate people person. Throughout my entire life, I've worked with people. My first job was a busser at Pasta House. That job is where I developed my strong work ethic and where I got my first taste of working with the public. I immediately fell in love. From helping people by clearing their dishes to refilling their waters and making their day with a simple smile, I knew immediately that I loved helping people and working with people. I spent some time in college trying to figure out what I wanted to do. I ended up majoring in Human Resources because I was fascinated with the way people act, the way their minds and think and the immense diversity of people as a whole. I got my first leadership experience in college when I founded and became President and Treasurer of our college's Game Club. It started off small, but it grew to have several different factions and the club is still there to this day. My next big career experience was when I was working the Drury National Call Center and I was promoted to Coordinator. I was given the responsibility of looking over the staff, making sure everyone knew how to do their jobs, hosting training sessions on the new hotels and settling employee disputes. I was the liaison between the the agents and the management team. I was also on the board of the Team Building Committee. We held events, raised money for charities and made sure that the overall morale of the employees was as high as possible. I knew right there that that was something I could see myself doing on a larger scale. It wasn't until recently that I discovered the culmination of my years of experience was leading me to an interest in Human Resources. My dream is to be part of a company that values it's employees and to be a part of the team that makes it's employees feel valued. I'm hoping to find a job that shows me the path towards that goal.
