I did a full breakdown and analysis of equipment, supplies, and labor required for two home remodels. Purchased the property, and facilited operations, schedules, and hiring of two full teams of laborers. Our team at Mountain Pointe Construction completed two full home remodels that took 3 months each, and made a 10% return on total investment in 4 months.

Provided governance to a staff of 40, throughout the phoenix area, built stronger training programs, empowered employees, and created consistency in operations, staffing, and procurement during a pandemic in which personnel and operations were in a state of constant flux.

The real estate industry is a source of tremendous opportunity. As the Investor Relations Director I forecasted real estate project requirements, identified demand, and led a team that vetted and matched residential real-estate rehab projects with potential investors. Our average performance was 18.37% APR, but if you took into consideration the time-value-of-money, returns to investors were bordering the 24% range conservatively. A strong ability to collaborate, lead, and manage expectations was key to performing well in this role. Understanding the industry and the inherent risks and avenues a real estate rehab project can be drawn into, helps immensely when in a key position of trust with investors. Most of these investors are not risk averse individuals, and acknowledging the risks, and having a risk management plan really was key to my overall performance in this role. I love real estate, I love investing, and I love people, and this role was a unique combination of these passions. Having a strong attention to detail, the capability to analyze risks and rewards based on unique factors, and the overall relationship and communication skills to collaborate effectively with a team of high-performers were also other key contributors to my success in this role. As with any family, it was difficult to leave my corporate family. However as I demonstrated that I was a person of respect and value, they in turn demonstrated their love for me through their love and encouragement of my leaving to pursue a MBA from Brigham Young University. I am very fortunate to have had my internship at Community Action Services and Food Bank (CASFB) in Provo, UT. It is a great place with wonderful people, and our Executive Director, Myla Dutton, has done very much to help me take part in and explore the mission of CASFB.
