An enterprise-minded Data & Analytics leader who embraces innovation and promotes mindset change to develop and integrate leading-edge analytics techniques to drive enhanced insight within the critical business decision-making process.Starting my analytical career as a Sales Analyst at Shell, I appreciated the value of data analysis to identify commercial opportunities and improve insight. Through promotions, I learnt that the understanding and interrogation of data was integral to answering complex business questions.Upon joining Gartner, my progression was accelerated, initially joining the UK Operations team to focus primarily on the development of enhanced reporting and analytics for resource management, sales support and revenue forecasting. My work significantly improved forecast accuracy and led to an initiative to highlight staff improvement potential through augmented time and revenue forecasting.Promoted by the Head of Finance Consulting to eventually become the Financial Planning & Analysis Director, my role grew to develop new actionable insight capabilities. Tackling legacy issues regarding budget and forecast accuracy, I implemented a series of upgraded analysis tools encapsulating billing rates, commercial vs. public sector and geographical variations to strengthen accuracy and performance analysis. By 2012 I was identified for fast-track promotion to tackle web-based reporting and analysis, where I reduced data compilation timelines with the creation and launch of OBIEE dashboards for the business. This development of key dashboards enabled the replacement of 30+ existing metrics to a single flexible retention metric.Due to the success of this initiative, I advanced to become Senior Director of Business Intelligence, where I further enhanced critical insight through the establishment of self-service reporting dashboards to understand clients better, improve retention and drive up-sell opportunities.I was approached again by senior leadership in 2017 to take responsibility for Global Data Analytics and Business Intelligence with the key goal of modernising data visualisation with the implementation of and global rollout of Power BI as the primary analytical and reporting tool.This role also gave me the opportunity to drive cultural change and enhance collaboration to generate innovation whilst deepening data literacy across business units.
