The Cash Equities Clearing and Settlement Advisory Group was convened in September 2023. The Advisory Group is a stakeholder forum for input to the Boards of ASX Clear and ASX Settlement on strategic matters related to cash equities clearing and settlement services and associated infrastructure. It operates alongside existing stakeholder forums, including the Business Committee and the CHESS Replacement Technical Committee.The role of the Advisory Group is to:1) consider strategic matters related to cash equities clearing and settlement services and associated infrastructure, including the replacement of CHESS; and2) make recommendations to the boards of ASX Clear and ASX Settlement on strategic matters related to cash equities clearing and settlement services and associated infrastructure.The Advisory Group is independently chaired by Alan Cameron AO.
