As Senior Counsel of Cybersecurity at Dropbox, I lead the company’s cybersecurity law and business incident management functions, delivering strategic guidance on global cybersecurity and privacy law to board members, C-suite executives, and senior management. Beyond advising on global regulatory matters and investigations, I also serve as legal advisor to the Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning security working group.In addition to managing the company’s Cybersecurity & Incident Response Program and members of the cybersecurity legal team, I supervise and mentor recent graduates in Dropbox’s Analyst Program, coaching the analysts on career development and professionalism.I frequently speak on cybersecurity and privacy issues and teach as an Adjunct Professor of Cybersecurity Law and Policy at The University of Texas School of Law in Austin. Each fall semester, I instruct second- and third-year law students in a course addressing the nature and functions of the various government and private-sector actors associated with cybersecurity and national security, the policy goals they pursue, the challenges they face, and the legal environment in which this takes place.Prior to joining Dropbox, I represented companies across industries—including energy, finance, and tech clients ranging from startups to Fortune 500s—as a litigation, government investigations, and cyber associate in Am Law 200 firm Bracewell. Before becoming a lawyer, I worked as an Interagency Coordination Officer at the U.S. National Counterterrorism Center in Washington, D.C., a role that included supporting White House cybersecurity strategy, and as an Intelligence Officer in the Defense Intelligence Agency.I am a graduate of The University of Texas School of Law, and am admitted to practice law in Texas and New York.
