The role of Education Specialist at HP NZ encompassed assisting education institutions utilize technology in the learning environment, professional development for staff, and the dissemination of best practice. I also managed events and marketing opportunities involving the education sector, including the MOE TELA Laptops for Teachers programme, HP Ambassador Programmes (for students and teachers), Business Boot Camp and conferences. Specific outcomes from my time at HP included investigating the opportunities in Fiji, building the Worldwide HP education team, development of both print and online resources for education, and the inaugural HP international conference held in October 2017 titled "Evolve". In addition, I was available as a speaker on Business in Education, and as an adviser on developing sustainable business technology solutions for schools/trusts and clusters.With the emergence of Cloud Computing, Big Data and an increasing interest in digital solutions, I was a first point of call on how to integrate technology into organisations and schools and being the teacher/student voice into HP worldwide.General use of Enterprise Software including Salesforce.

The Rangitoto School of Business was established in 2010. In 2011, new initiatives included a Yr13 trip to Wellington to see entrepreneurial people and economic history (Reserve Bank, Te Papa, Parliament), plus visited China for research. The programme included Young Enterprise, establishing the HP Ambassador Programme, and extensive visits by students to business's in the area. The team comprised of 24 staff spread across four locations.

Involved in marketing and promotional activities, and presentation of improvement programmes for customers to minimize impact of rising cost increases following split of ECNZ into the major SOE's of Genesis, Mighty River Power and Meridian. This role required strong account management, negotiation and presentation skills, and a focus on sales/margins.

Commenced role as a Promotions Office, combining education programmes with the new aluminium can recycling programme.Progressed to Country Manager Sales and Marketing for primary sales of aluminium for NZ customers. Tasks included ensuring NZ customers were fully supported with technical assistance from the wider company, quality of product, marketing and sponsorship's, and all commercial aspects including pricing and contract negotiations, recruitment/restructuring, key account management. Value of sales approx NZ$250m/yr.Extensive use of Enterprise Software including SAP and online ordering systems.
