David Chambers is an Architect, Artist and Urban Designer living in Brighton.A Public Practice Alumni, he is currently Design Team Leader at Rother DC. Co-founder of Aberrant Architecture he was the first architecture resident at the V&A Museum.With 20+ years of expertise, David has designed award-winning civic, cultural & community projects across various scales. He is co-author of 'Wherever You Find People' published by Park Books, has taught Architecture at Central St Martins & the University of Brighton and serves on the South Downs National Park's Design Review Panel.Co-founder of Aberrant Architecture, David has crafted award-winning public art projects, showcased at the British Pavilion at the Venice Biennale and exhibited as guest of honour at DesignTO Festival in Toronto. Aberrant, in collaboration with curator Beatrice Galilee, co-launched & directed The Gopher Hole, an experimental project space in London.At Rother District Council David works at a strategic level within the Place and Climate Change Directorate, providing design leadership on a range of major projects, including the transformation of the De La Warr Pavilion, a new masterplan and design code to shape Bexhill’s low carbon future and placemaking policy formulation for the emerging local plan.
