The founding lead executive for ProHealth Solutions, a clinically integrated network and accountable care organization ("ACO") located in Waukesha, Wisconsin. ProHealth Solutions, a joint-venture owned by physicians and the local hospital system, clinically integrated over 460 physicians and the ProHealth Care system.Under his leadership, ProHealth Solutions completed 27 contracts with 18 commercial health insurers. Such payer contracts include business coalitions, a provider-owned plan, Medicare Advantage, managed Medicaid and a self-funded employer. These managed care contracts include at least one "Pay for Value" incentive, such as shared savings, pay-for-performance, chronic care management or administrative fees. ProHealth Solutions also participated as an ACO in the Medicare Shared Savings Program, having entered the program in July, 2012. To manage the cost and quality of providing care to populations, ProHealth Solutions initiated many performance improvement activities plus an innovative "Health Coach" program which coordinated care for patients with chronic diseases. In addition, ProHealth was the first to use Epic's new Cogito data warehouse, which tracks 98 clinical quality and administrative metrics for physician scorecards. David collaborated successfully with hospital system leadership to implement these new capabilities.
