I worked for the Center for Sports Analytics at Samford University. First, I was assigned with working with USA Pickleball USA Pickleball to identify pickleball fan characteristics, brand affinity, and potential new sponsors of USA Pickleball. In this project, I used the Zoomph analytics tool to create audiences and compute analytics to find potential new sponsors for USA Pickleball. I also promoted the Samford University March Madness Bracket Challenge, where I used my creative, strategic, and organizational skills to produce social media content and coordinate this event. I promoted the Sullivan to Beasley Race to End CTE 5K Fun Walk by email marketing. Throughout this internship, I learned how to develop insights from data and give recommendations to brands. I also deepened my knowledge of promoting events via marketing and communication.

I assisted coaching staff by collecting and analyzing player performance data. I collected data by watching tennis matches and entering it into Excel. I ran calculations like SUM and AVG to create percentages that were important for the coaches to know. It also showed them which areas of the players' games to work on. I also ran correlations in SPSS to figure out if a positive or negative change in one statistic has a positive effect, negative effect, or no effect on another statistic. Throughout these two years, I learned how to decipher which statistics in tennis are important to measure to ensure maximum team performance.

I assisted the coaches by watching game film in Hudl and entering data into Excel. I entered the data that I thought was most important for the coaches to know. After entering the data into Excel, I exported them into SPSS and computed frequency tables. After generating the analyses I needed, I compiled weekly reports for the coaches in Microsoft Word. I analyzed the key tendencies of Vestavia Hills High School and their opponents.

I used SBRNet data to explore and analyze the sports markets around the world. I worked on a soccer project analyzing International Soccer fans and MLS Soccer fans. I used SBRNet's Annual Study of Sports Fans in Excel to retrieve this data. The characteristics of fans I analyzed are generation, ethnicity, region of the country, streaming habits, gambling habits, favorite teams, spending habits on apparel, and travel. I created data visualizations in Excel to compare and contrast the fans of MLS and International Soccer.
