As part of my role, I have provided policy and decision makers with economic analyses as well as customer service, technical assistance and expertise, and solutions focused information to external stakeholders to increase their oil and gas production. In this role, I also compile, present, and provide data for a biannual report on oil and gas production given to the Texas State Comptroller’s Office on a monthly basis. In this report I calculate the severance tax generated from each stakeholder and from oil and gas field studies while following all State rules and special exemptions, including but not limited to Title 2 Subtitle 1 Chapter 201 & 202 of the Texas Tax Code.
