During my time in the Air National Guard in Memphis I worked on the Fuel systems of C -17's where I learned the basic Maintenance Fundamentals of any Aircraft. A brief overview of what I did would be Fuel tank entry, installing and maintaining Fuel Cells and Fuel Cell Bladders, Repairs and maintenance inside integral Fuel Tanks, Frequently review and record maintenance documentation with Aircraft forms, use the Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS), handle hazardous chemicals and materials always following OSHA standards and practices , use various different types of technical publications, Aircraft Constructional features and corrosion control, use and care for basic hand tools and aerospace ground equipment , interpert electrical circuits and perform testing on circuits using electrical test equipment. The main tasks I would perform at this job would almost always have to do with repairing and maintaining or operating components of the Engine Feed, Transfer, Jettison/Dump, Ground Refuel/Defuel, Scavenge, Pressurization/ Vent, Air Refueling Receiver, Heat exchanger, and Fuel Quantity Indicating systems. I also would perform troubleshooting on Fuel system malfunctions.
