As program manager of Boeing’s Space Launch System (SLS) program, David Dutcher leads the team responsible for the Boeing-built core stage, upper stages – to include the powerful Exploration Upper Stage that will enable missions to Mars and beyond – and the avionics suite that support NASA’s Artemis missions. Dutcher began his career with Boeing in 1985 as a structural design engineer. Throughout his tenure he has supported numerous programs within Boeing Defense, Space and Security, including Ground-based Midcourse Defense, Airborne Laser, AV-8B Harrier, Bird of Prey, F/A-18 E/F Super Hornet and Joint Strike Fighter (JSF), among other proprietary programs. Dutcher holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Arkansas and master’s degree in business administration from Washington University.
