Biomarker Scientist
Current• Spearheaded the development of clinical biomarker discovery strategies in biofluids (blood, urine) for informed decision making and drug development in immuno-oncology (including FDA/EMA-approved anti-PD-1/PD-L1 antibodies and novel antibody-drug conjugates), by analysing multi-omics dataset which allowed to develop AI-based precision medicine tools.• Employed a variety of creative bioinformatic approaches, primarily R-based, for optimal multi-omics data analysis (DNA-seq, RNA-seq, proteomics) and visualization in conjunction with clinical metadata.• Worked closely with a law office for the preparation of intellectual-propriety documentation and patent filling of clinical biomarker applications.• Managed grant preparation with renown academic and industrial partners by ensuring task distribution and completion, CRO engagement and meeting the deadlines, which led to multiple applications and to secure an InnoSuisse grant worth 400’000 CHF.• Actively engaged in scientific communication by leading poster, brochure, and peer-reviewed article preparation, effectively disseminating research findings to a broader audience, including a successful business pitch which received the “2024 best technology award” by the MATWIN international board.• Involved in conversations with the senior management, as well as in the mentoring of a Master student, to provide valuable scientific input in the context of company objectives.
